Description
In the United States, state law refers to
the law of each separate U.S. state. The fifty states are separate sovereigns
with their own state constitutions, state governments, and state courts. In
this course, we will examine the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), which is
a state statute intended to enhance privacy rights and consumer protection for
residents of California. CCPA gives consumers more control over the personal
information that businesses collect about them and the CCPA regulations provide
guidance on how to implement the law.
