Description
Patient rights outline expectations for
health care and provide each patient with knowledge regarding the care to which
they are entitled. The Joint Commission and the Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid Services (CMS) both have requirements for patients’ rights. Laws
regarding patient rights have been passed by the United States government, many
state governments, and professional organizations.
