Description
This course teaches CCPA fast facts and who
is impacted. The CCPA applies to any business, including any for-profit entity,
that collects consumers personal data. CCPA was effective January 1, 2020, and enforced on July
1, 2020.
The adoption of the CCPA forces other U.S.
states to enact similar laws, opening the door to a nationwide movement to
protect the privacy of consumers online. Support for adoption of a new national
law to protect consumer privacy is high at all levels.
